Ліст салідарнасці з беларускімі студэнтамі падпісалі больш за 2 тысячы прадстаўнікоў міжнароднай супольнасці вышэйшай адукацыі

Усім студэнтам у Беларусі.
 
Мы, міжнародная супольнасць вышэйшай адукацыі, салідарныя са студэнтамі Беларусі і асуджаем гвалт, санкцыянаваны дзяржавай у дачыненні да іх і ўсіх беларусаў. Мы хочам выказаць максімальную падтрымку іх права на пратэст і шчырую салідарнасць з усімі арыштаванымі, затрыманымі і пераследаванымі ўласным урадам.
 
Незаконныя арышты, суды і зняволенні найлепшых маладых людзей Беларусі выклікаюць агіду. Мы шакаваныя і глыбока занепакоеныя трывожнымі фотаздымкамі і кадрамі з такіх месцаў, як Мінскі дзяржаўны лінгвістычны ўніверсітэт, дзе міліцыя сілай увайшла на тэрыторыю і затрымала студэнтаў за  спевы. Гэтыя дзеянні на ўніверсітэцкай тэрыторыі выклікаюць вялікую занепакоенасць у нас у Еўропе і ва ўсім свеце.
 
Універсітэты ніколі не павінны асацыявацца са страхам, тэрорам ці жорсткасцю. Гэта прасторы для дэбатаў, дыскусій і ведаў. Такі гвалт выклікае жах і павінен скончыцца. 
 
Гэтая жорсткасць накіравана на тое, каб зламаць дух пратэсту. Аднак апошнія дні і тыдні паказалі стойкасць, гонар і сілу беларусаў. Пратэсты - гэта асноўны складнік справядлівага, мірнага і дэмакратычнага грамадства. Мы цвёрда прызнаем такое права, асабліва, калі яно тычыцца месцаў вышэйшай адукацыі. Мы застаемся на баку студэнтаў і іх справядлівай справы: ведучы ўсю Беларусь да лепшай будучыні.
